Globe Takers Academy: Student & Parent Terms and Conditions Welcome to Globe Takers Academy. Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using our online platform, participating in our mentorship tracks, or engaging in our hybrid workplace placement programs. 1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing our website, registering an account, or participating in any program offered by Globe Takers Academy (“the Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services. 2. Eligibility & Parental Responsibility Adult Users: If you are 18 years of age or older, you may register an account directly. Minors (Primary & Secondary Learners): If you are under the age of 18, you may only use our platform and programs with the involvement, consent, and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. Parental Guarantee: Parents or legal guardians who register an account or enroll a minor in the Academy accept full responsibility for all fees, online conduct, and compliance with these Terms by the minor. 3. Account Security and Conduct Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your profile updated. Credentials: You are responsible for safeguarding your login details. Any activity that happens under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately at info@globetakersacademy.com if you suspect a security breach. Lawful Use: You agree to use the platform only for lawful educational purposes. You will not disrupt the platform’s security, upload harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems. 4. Courses, Payments, and Refund Policy Modifications: Course availability, structures, fees, and schedules are subject to change. We will notify enrolled students of major schedule updates in advance. Payments: All payments for tuition, courses, or certifications are processed securely through our approved third-party payment gateways. You agree to pay all applicable fees associated with your chosen track. Refund Policy: Because our programs involve instant digital content access, live mentorship scheduling, and physical workspace coordination, our refund structure is strictly based on pre-start notifications: Full Refund (100%): You are eligible for a full refund if you submit a written request to info@globetakersacademy.com at least 7 calendar days before the official start date of your cohort, course, or learning module. Partial Refund (50%): If you request a cancellation less than 7 days before the course start date, you are eligible for a 50% refund to cover administrative and platform allocation costs. No Refunds: Once a course or learning module has officially begun, no refunds will be issued, as students gain immediate access to our self-paced learning assets and intellectual property. No refunds are available once a student has commenced a physical workplace placement. Course Deferrals: In lieu of a refund, students facing unexpected schedule changes may request to defer their enrollment to the next available cohort at no extra cost, provided the request is made within the first week of the program. All approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 10 to 14 business days. 5. Practical Placements and Mentorship (Hybrid Track) For programs that include mentorship and physical workplace training in Abuja: Placement Selection: Eligibility for physical workplace placements is determined by the Academy based on student performance, track completion, and availability with our corporate partners. Placement is not guaranteed for all students. Workplace Rules: While placed in a partner work environment, students must strictly abide by the rules, schedules, safety protocols, and professional codes of conduct of the host organization. Liability Limitation: Globe Takers Academy facilitates these practical learning opportunities as part of an educational curriculum. The Academy is not an employer, agent, or insurer of the student during workplace placements and is not liable for accidents, injuries, or property damage occurring at external partner sites. 6. Intellectual Property All educational materials, video lessons, quizzes, reading structures, branding, logos, and software code provided on the platform are the exclusive property of Globe Takers Academy or its licensors. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view materials for your personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, record, download (unless permitted), redistribute, share login access, or resell any Academy materials without our express, prior written consent. 7. Academic Integrity & Certifications Certificates are issued strictly based on the completion criteria, assessment benchmarks, and attendance records set by the Academy. Cheating, plagiarism, or misrepresenting your identity during assessments will result in immediate disqualification, cancellation of certificates, and potential termination of your account without a refund. 8. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers "As Is" Basis: Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, regarding course outcomes, career guarantees, or continuous website uptime. * **Liability Cap:** To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Nigeria, Globe Takers Academy, its directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the platform or external placements. 9. Suspension and Termination We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to both online modules and physical placements if you violate these Terms, fail to pay outstanding fees, or engage in behavior that disrupts the learning environment for other students or mentors. 10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be settled amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT). 11. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect operational or legal changes. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Effective Date." Your continued participation in our programs after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. 12.
